Penn Wedding Cakes was founded in 2009 after extensive training at Squires Kitchen with renowned tutors Paddi Clarke, Sue Griffiths and Mark Tiling.
As a young child I grew up watching my father, Chef Essl work in his kitchen and many a Saturday afternoon was spent baking Austrian cakes with him. Little did I know then that these early valuable lessons would evolve years later into my passion for making wedding cakes, Croquembouches and favours.
Sugar flowers are a specialty along with character cake toppers and Croquembouches and the ever popular macarons. Designs have kept pace with current trends and smaller cakes have been included in the range for those catering for smaller guest numbers.
I am very privileged to have such a wonderful job. My designs regularly feature in wedding magazines giving inspiration to couple for their special day.
